1 in 8 Americans receive SNAP benefits to stave off hunger. With then tap being turned off, then somewhat on, and then every state in between, there remains the fact that our neighbors face potential starvation.
Melina Macall answered the call by leveraging her business,Boxed Organics, to donate food to theMEND Hunger Relief Network. She reached out to her farm contacts to source heavily discounted produce. And she reached out to us to provide boxes of vegetarian dumplings! Altogether, 24 bags of fresh produce and 24 boxes of dumplings went out to MEND today.
